Towards the end of there growth, you may drop there protein intake to 36%. Fish food with 33% protein is good for maintaining an already GROWN ADULT at full maturity. Never buy or feed your fish with food NOT containing vitamin C. Fish food should not only feed your fish, but it should also protect it from disease and illnesses. Vitamin C is an ingredient which help keep them healthy and disease/virus resistant. All commercial fish food will use “filler” to bulk up there product, which is normal. Do not buy fish food with BONE MEAL as filler. Bone meal is the cheapest filler made from random animal bones (chickens, beef, pork) grounded and mix into pellets. Since it is not regulated, who says the bones cant come from an animal which died of a disease or virus? Bone meal also contains over 2-10+ times the safe amount of flouride recommended which is toxic for humans and animals. Study shows, flouride have been linked to bone cancer. Bone meal also weight the most of all filler since it’s made of bones, so you are paying extra to get more toxins in your fish! Would you feed this to your fish just to save a few bucks?
